What makes Blue Wonder so special - how does it works?
Blue Wonder is a superior, knitted microfiber, manufactured from a patented 50% polyester / 50% nylon weave that is environmentally friendly from conception to disposal. The polyester and nylon are alternatively forced through a nozzle that combines them through a heat weaving process. A chemical process then shrinks the nylon and splits the woven fiber into 16 micro-fibers that are then intertwined to create the ultra absorbent and effective Blue Wonder cloth. Since the microfiber attracts dust and dirt, you do not get the dust particles flying around while dusting and dry mopping. This is a great help for people who suffer from allergies and asthma. Allergy sufferers are also eliminating the household chemical cleaners generally used.
What is the best size cloth to buy?
The best size really depends on how you like to clean. Some people like a cloth that just fits nicely in their hand - but then you may have to rinse it out more often. Others like a larger cloth, so that they can keep folding the cloth over as they clean and then its not necessary to rinse the cloth as often. Our most popular size seems to be the Classic X-Large and the Deluxe Large.
This is the first time I'm using the microfiber cloth on my windows and its leaving streaks. Why would it do this?
If you previously used a window cleaning solvent/spray product on your windows, these cleaners often will leave a residue. However, after a few good washes with the cloth, all the residue should be gone and your windows will also stay cleaner longer.
Are your windows new? Many manufacturers put a coating on new windows and mirrors, which could be causing the problem. In order to remove this coating, you will need to wash them several times thoroughly and it will take a bit of pressure to do it. Once its removed, you shouldn't have any more problems.
Why doesn't my microfiber cloth work as well as when I first bought it?
The cloth probably needs a good cleaning. As with any cleaning cloth, you may use it a few times before you actually launder it. With the microfiber cloth, even if you hand wash it after each use, dirt will start to build up in the cloth, more so than with an ordinary cleaning cloth, because of its very tight weave. In order to get rid of all the dirt in the cloth, we suggest that you place the cloth in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
This will open up the pores of the fiber and allow all the dirt to be released. You can also you a bit of detergent that does not contain phosphates, bleach or fabric softners. Sunlight dish soap or Arm 'n' Hammer Washing Soda are two brands that are safe effective cleaners for the cloths.
What is the difference between the microfiber Classic Cloth and the Deluxe Cloth?
The difference is that the Classic Cloth is meant for everyday cleaning and has the versatility to tackle any cleaning job. The Deluxe Cloth is further refined for cleaning more delicate items. The Deluxe Cloth has an extremely high densely woven structure so it does not collect rough particles and therefore prevents scratches on delicate surfaces such as china, lenses, chandeliers, glass, porcelain, etc.
How do I clean my dust mitt?
To wash you Dust Mitt, simply hand wash in warm water with a natural detergent, rinse well and hang to dry. Do not use bleach or place in the dryer.
